All of us who are from India, especially from Maharashtra would be much aware of the place called Bhimashankar. But you all would only know about the places like Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary, Bhimashankar Temple, Bhimashankar treks, Hanuman Temple, Ahupe waterfall, etc., as these are the main spots for tourist. But we bet you won’t be aware of the place called “Avhat”. So let’s make you all aware of this place.

Avhat – Taluka: Rajgurunagar (Location) (Bhimashankar)

This is a small village on the way to Bhimashankar which is surrounded by greenery, a lot of hills, waterfalls & dams. If you are traveling from Pune it’s about 45KM. And if you are on the way from Mumbai then its about 150KM. As this is not a tourist attraction, you won’t be able to get hotels to stay or for having breakfast, lunch, or dinner. So it’s recommended you don’t plan for a stay-over. The best part of this place is, it isn’t crowded. Very few people reside here and they are very friendly.

This place is surrounded by hills and you can view many waterfalls flowing through the hills. There is a very easy trek to reach the top of the hill from where you will get the best view. Below are a few images of the view that you will experience from the top.

In the above images, you can see the real beauty of nature and this is the reason why we need to save trees. We are all used to traveling to only those places which are famous. And by doing this we are missing out on some really beautiful places. ЁЯШЙ
