(UPDATED) Hydrogen OS 11 to be Launched Soon

Hydrogen OS is the alternative of Oxygen OS which is available only to China. It looks like since the Andriod 11 was made officially available, OnePlus has been working very hard to build the next major release of their most loved OS. Finally, they have officially revealed in their Weibo post. They would be launching their Android 11 based OS first for China. The OS is named Hydrogen OS 11.

When will it be available?

Hydrogen OS 11 is the Android 11 based operating system that will be running without the Google Service and will only be available to China. They would be launching the Hydrogen OS 11 on “10-August-2020 @14:00“. They will be introducing the new visual design, interactive concept, and the new functionalities. Release of Hydrogen OS 11 is hinting that the global version i.e. Oxygen OS 11 is also in work and should be out shortly. Which device to get it first?

Currently, it’s not clear how it be released and which devices it will become coming first. But from the past experience it’s for sure it will be coming to Open Beta branch first and made primarily available to the flagship. So the OnePlus 8 series should be getting its first Open Beta for the Hydrogen OS 11 or Oxygen OS 11. What new to expect?

If we talk about the upcoming feature then with all the basic OnePlus add-on feature it will be getting the Alway On Display in Android 11 builds. Pete Lau, hinted in his tweet made stating “11 “on display.” Here, 11 means the Hydrogen OS 11/Oxygen OS 11 and On display is for the Always-on display.

• ZEN Mode 2.0
• New Wallpaper
• Smart Gallery and Voice Notes
• New Voice Recording
• ORM Memory Management System
• Turbo Booster 2.0

Upgrade Plans:

• OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro: Developer Preview will be available today (10 August) and the Public beta is expected in mid-September. Following it the stable release is expected in Q4 2020.
• Mid-December 2020 onwards: The OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 6, and OnePlus 6T land fit.
